After 30 years in the newspaper advertising business I found that after retiring I needed something to keep busy. Having worked with porcelain silk flowers for some time I found that making up arrangements and wreaths utilizing just the flowers without applying porcelain to be more satisfying. I work with various types of florals and greenery using a variety of containers purchased from various sources which allows for a unique combination for each arrangement that has a one-of-a-kind appearance that cannot be achieved by mass production. The use of dried flowers is kept to a minimum due to the amount of shedding (messiness) and the inability to clean the arrangement without causing damage. Most of our arrangements can be dusted and even cleaned with a gentle shower of  water to renew their appearance suffering little or no damage.

     The shows and craft fairs I choose to rent space at are currently limited to the North East area. I prefer multi-day events which allow the time necessary, approx. 3 hours time, to set up the display depending upon the space size and arrangement of the displays.

     The reward for my efforts is to know that I may have created a piece that will be displayed and enjoyed. I do realize that many who have visited our booth feel they can create a similar piece but find after they have searched for the proper components and analized the cost they incur to do so make our items an outstanding value.
